#NationalPrincipalAppreciationMonth Spotlight - - Mr. Williams, principal at Parkside Elementary!
"His leadership, kindness, and steady presence have made such a lasting impact on the students, staff, and families in our community. It’s clear when you walk through Parkside’s halls that he’s built more than a school — he’s built a community. From greeting students by name each morning to supporting teachers in creative, meaningful ways, Mr. Williams models what true leadership in education looks like." - Wayne and Alexander

The 4th grade scientists at TES have been learning all about the inner workings of living things throughout the month of October. First, they completed an investigation that inspected several types of flowers in classrooms where they learned how to identify a variety of plant structures. Then, with the support of over 20 family members and THS high school students, nearly 100 4th grade students gathered in the MP room in small groups to dissect squids under the direction of their teachers, Tim Edmonds, Annika Johanson, Becki Perez and Mishauna Ricker. This is a core memory for Tenino Tigers and this year's students did a fantastic job of being focused and responsible scientists through the entire experience.

Mrs. Suydam has worked in Tenino since 1995 where she began as a student helper. The following year, she spent some time as a part time school secretary and sub before moving into a full time school secretary position, where she has been ever since!
Mrs. Suydam says that it has been an honor to be a part of so many students going through the school all these years. She’s going to miss watching the growth that happens in middle school, although sometimes difficult, it’s an amazing transformation.
Her plans for retirement and the future include travel, family, friends, fun, and relaxation! We wish you all the best in this next phase of life!🫶🌿✈️

✨Retiree Spotlight - Ms. Teresa Stephens✨
Ms. Stephens has worked in Tenino for 2️⃣6️⃣ years, currently serving as our Director of Food Services. She will miss the kids and staff but especially her team!
Teresa is planning to move to Montana to be with family and 2 new great grandbabies. Congratulations Teresa and thank you for so many years of dedication to our students and community. Wishing you all the best (and grandbaby snuggles) in your retirement. 🫶👣
