We recently received this letter from a student at Tenino Middle School. At times it can be difficult to remember the impact that our educators have in the lives of our students, families and community. This letter is an incredible reminder of just that!

Dear Tenino,
I started going to school here a little past Christmas of last year. I started out scared because of the teacher, the students, and community of my old town and school could be cold hearted and mean, but, Tenino is different. I could not find a way to thank everyone who gave me the experience I’ve had here without making a thousand cards. So I’m writing a card to Tenino because Tenino is made of amazing people. First off, thank you to my wonderful teachers. There has not been a single moment where I was treated rudely by a teacher. Instead I was only shown kindness and generosity. They all gave me confidence in my work and they want to keep good grades. Second, I want to thank my cross-country team. I never had to try to be a part of the team because I was accepted the second I joined and was cheered on by all of them, giving me the courage to improve. Last, but definitely not least, I want to thank the community of Tenino. The people here are incredible and in most situations kind. This community has given me a home and friends so thank you Tenino.
To everyone at Tenino School District, thank you. The hard work, dedication, and the impact that you have in the lives of students, families and our community is never gone unnoticed. You are appreciated!

Parkside is in urgent need of small-sized, gently used or new leggings and sweatpants, and new underwear for boys and girls. Tenino Elementary, Middle and High School all also need additional clothes to cover spills, tears, messes and accidents.
Our PTSA will be accepting clothing items on the school's behalf at our Grand Twinkle Tour this Saturday, December 18th, from 6:00pm-7:30.

A heartfelt thank you to our 3rd Graders and teachers, Ms. Moldenhauer, Ms. Craig-Mickel, Mr. Heintz and Mr. Holmstrom at Tenino Elementary for this adorable and thoughtful handprint wreath. It was hand delivered to the District Office last Friday from a few of many, great students.
